Position vacancies

Are you an experienced Barista looking for a new and exciting opportunity? Masonic Care WA is seeking a Barista for our brand-new Lifestyle Café located within Middle Swan Residential Care.

As the Barista, your mission will be to create a warm and inviting atmosphere where guests of all ages can enjoy high-quality refreshments, exceptional coffee, and outstanding customer service.

With potential for significant growth, our ideal candidate is open to working with us to establish the Café as a vibrant social hub for Middle Swan Residential Care residents, their families and our staff.

Shift hours from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday to Friday. Hours may be reviewed and varied based on customer demand.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Coordinating the day-to-day operations of the Café, ensuring high and consistent standards of food and beverage preparation and excellent customer service.
  • Monitoring stock levels and placing stock orders to ensure all products remain fresh.
  • Ensuring the Café is clean, and that equipment and resources meet safety and hygiene standards.
  • Identifying or reporting all incidents and hazards to ensure a safe working environment is maintained.
  • Preparing hot and cold beverages such as coffee, tea, juices, and milkshakes.
  • Basic food preparation, plating, and serving, in accordance with Food Safe Standards and Legislation.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum two years of experience as a Manager/Supervisor in a café or restaurant environment.
  • Food Safety Supervisor’s Certificate.
  • Competence in POS systems, though training will be provided.
  • Compassionate understanding of the demands and needs of those in Residential Aged Care.
  • Experience with the IDDSI framework preferred but not required.

Allied Health Assistants are responsible for providing encouragement and support to residents in the participation of group and individual activities to promote maintenance of residual functional skills, optimum levels of mobility, socialisation opportunities, activity engagement and emotional wellbeing.

Qualifications
Minimum Certificate 3 in Lifestyle and Leisure (or equivalent course).

Physiotherapists work in partnership with residents to identify their mobility, exercise and pain management needs and to develop care plans that support the individual resident to achieve their optimal level of mobility, comfort and independence.
Qualifications: Bachelor of Science (Physiotherapy) and current AHPRA Registration

 

Occupational Therapists work in partnership with residents to identify their functional capabilities and social, spiritual and emotional needs and design care plans that enable the individual resident to meet their optimal level of independence, function, wellbeing and to live their best life.

Registered Nurses are responsible for providing leadership, guidance and support to the clinical care team to ensure that care is delivered in partnership with each resident enabling the best possible outcomes for the individual to be achieved. Fosters positive consumer relationships and completes necessary documentation to meet all regulatory compliance outcomes under the aged care act.
