Every year on 12 May, International Nurses Day recognises the incredible contribution nurses make to communities around the world.
This year’s theme by the International Council of Nurses, “Our Nurses. Our Future. Empowered Nurses Save Lives.” highlights the importance of supporting and empowering nurses to continue delivering safe, compassionate and high-quality care.
At Masonic Care WA, we see the impact of our nurses every single day.
From early morning handovers and medication management to meaningful conversations and moments of comfort, aged care nursing is about so much more than clinical care. It’s about building trust, creating connection and helping residents feel safe, respected and valued.
No two days are ever the same, but every day is an opportunity to make a positive difference in someone’s life.
To celebrate International Nurses Day, we followed one of our nurses, Analee Ingal, to get a glimpse into what a day in the life of a nurse in aged care looks like.
The video highlights the compassion, teamwork and dedication that goes into caring for older Western Australians each day.
