Masonic award winner takes WA state title

We are thrilled to share that Masonic Care WA award winner, Lucy Stronach, has been honoured with the prestigious Western Australian Young Achiever of the Year Award for 2024, presented by The Hon Hannah Beazley, Minister for Local Government; Youth; assisting the Minister for Training and Workforce Development.

The awards ceremony took place on Friday, 7 June at Pan Pacific Perth and attended by over 400 guests. Earlier in the evening, Lucy won the Masonic Care WA/Freemasons WA Community Service and Volunteering Award presented by Mr. Peter Kirwan, Chairman of the Board of Masonic Care WA and Past Grand Master of The Grand Lodge of Western Australia.

Lucy Stronach is a dedicated advocate for social justice and community empowerment. With over ten years of volunteer service and leadership, Lucy has directly impacted hundreds and indirectly assisted thousands through her work in women’s rights, justice, community development, and disability advocacy. As the Principal of Youth Justice for the Minderoo Foundation, Program Officer for the Hello Initiative, and Board member for the UNAA and Sir David Martin Foundation, Lucy’s passion for youth engagement and empowerment has created impactful change both domestically and internationally. Despite facing intersecting disabilities and personal challenges, Lucy’s resilience allows her to continue championing inclusivity and positive change.

Masonic Care WA, together with The Grand Lodge of Western Australia, have championed the recognition of young Western Australians who selflessly dedicate inordinate energy, time, and care to their communities and causes. We have proudly watched past award winners achieve amazing things, advancing their careers and continuing to make significant contributions to society.
